Small, Sleek, and Super Cool: Check Out the New iPods
On September 1, 2010, Apple launched a great selection of new iPods.
First up is the iPod touch. Thinner than ever, the 4th generation iPod touch--available in 8 GB, 32 GB, and 64 GB capacities--features Retina display (4x pixels, 326 ppi, 24-bit color, and LED), the Apple A4 chip, a three-axis gyro, iOS 4.1 with Game Center, FaceTime with front camera, and HD video recording. Plus, the battery life is a whopping 40 hours!
Next, the iPod nano--available in six colors and 8 GB or 16 GB capacities--is like a tiny iPod touch. Almost half the size of the previous model, the 6th generation iPod nano features Multi-Touch display, a clip (to eliminate need for armbands), hard volume buttons, and a 24-hour battery life.
Finally, the iPod shuffle is back to a square shape featuring buttons and a clip. The shuffle still uses VoiceOver, plus it's now enabled with Genius playlists. Available in five colors with 2 GB storage capacity.
